Syringe Motor
- Plug in the power cable.
- Step on the
foot pedal, thesyringe displacershould move up. - Press the
pushbutton. - Step on the
foot pedal, thesyringe displacershould move down.
Roller Motor
- The
motorized rollershould not turn when the button has not yet been pressed. - Press the
pushbutton, themotorized rollershould turn clockwise when viewed with the12" single railin front. - Turn the right
potentiometer, the rolling speed should change with each setting.
Other
- Manually spin the
passive rollera few times to ensure it is resting correctly on theposts. - Slot a syringe into the
syringe pump mechanismto check that it fits.
Common Problems
Check that all the
screwsare right.Sometimes the
motorswon’t work properly if thepotentiometerknob is between settings.The
frame'sbrackets can be misaligned.Shaft sleevescan be misaligned.The
tank standsand thepostsare both adjustable, so their relative positions may need to be tweaked to prevent the rollers from sitting on the tank walls.
