Syringe Motor

  1. Plug in the power cable.
  2. Step on the foot pedal, the syringe displacer should move up.
  3. Press the pushbutton.
  4. Step on the foot pedal, the syringe displacer should move down.

Roller Motor

  1. The motorized roller should not turn when the button has not yet been pressed.
  2. Press the pushbutton, the motorized roller should turn clockwise when viewed with the 12" single rail in front.
  3. Turn the right potentiometer, the rolling speed should change with each setting.

Other

  1. Manually spin the passive roller a few times to ensure it is resting correctly on the posts.
  2. Slot a syringe into the syringe pump mechanism to check that it fits.

Common Problems

  • Check that all the screws are right.

  • Sometimes the motors won’t work properly if the potentiometer knob is between settings.

  • The frame's brackets can be misaligned.

  • Shaft sleeves can be misaligned.

  • The tank stands and the posts are both adjustable, so their relative positions may need to be tweaked to prevent the rollers from sitting on the tank walls.
